We recently purchased a handmade kitchen from a company in Dorset and were trying to get a similar look to a Smallbones Shaker kitchen. The kitchen was installed and was exactly what we were looking for, except that it needed painting.  We carried out a lot of research as to how big kitchen companies achieve their hand painted finish (i.e. Smallbones and Thomas & Thomas) and set about finding the right painter for the job. Gauci Decorating was recommended to us and he came with very good references, including work for The National Trust. Mike came to view the kitchen, explained how he would complete the work and what type of brushes he would use. It was exactly how the process had been explained to us in our earlier research. Gauci Decorating quoted us a more than fair price and we set a date for work to begin.

The kitchen is now finished, on the date and price agreed. The finish is exactly as we had seen in the best of the showrooms – superb. Gauci Decorating completed the job to a very high standard, with minimum disruption, and was very reliable. We were so impressed with the quality of Gauci Decorating work that we asked them to finish the walls, ceiling and woodwork in the rest of the kitchen, which was completed on time.

We’d certainly use them again and would strongly recommend themif you want a high class finish, minimum disruption, reliable service and a fair price.
